BNP Paribas in Singapore About BNP Paribas

National Cancer Centre Singapore

The Regional Fellowship Programme between BNP Paribas and the National Cancer Centre Singapore is the first of its kind for both organizations in Singapore. The Programme aims to provide post-graduate medical training for doctors who are involved in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients, in developing countries in Asia. It also aims to facilitate cross-border transfer of knowledge, skills and technology in the field of oncology, between the National Cancer Centre Singapore and a partner medical institution in the region.

The Little Arts Academy

BNP Paribas Singapore has donated SGD160,000 to The Business Times Budding Artists Fund which has enabled more than 100 children between the ages of 7 to 12 from economically disadvantaged families to pursue an arts training at The Little Arts Academy (LAA). BNP Paribas Singapore’s decision to come on board as Outreach Partner for LAA’s Children Division will allow the LAA to almost double the number of children from low-income families currently in its arts programme and to reach full capacity for its weekday classes.  LAA is the only centre in Singapore which provides a unique multidisciplinary exposure to the different arts discipline.

The Little Arts Academy is part of the Dream Up programme, a global education project managed by the BNP Paribas Foundation. This corporate philanthropy programme encourages the integration of socially excluded young people through arts practice. It is currently running in 26 countries on 5 continents. Through partnership with local charity organisations, it enables 30,000 children and teenagers from underprivileged backgrounds or living with a disability to receive training and guidance in an artistic activity.

Ms Aminah Hussien, Centre Director
The Little Arts Academy

“BNP Paribas’ support has allowed The Little Arts Academy to reach out to more than 100 children from less privileged background to pursue an Arts training in Music, Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts. We have seen how these children have grown in confidence and achieve something they would never have thought possible.  We are extremely grateful to have BNP Paribas on-board as the Children Division’s Outreach Partner and look forward to continuing our partnership.”
